Friends of the IDF (FIDF), an organization dedicated to the wellbeing of the soldiers of Israel, will bring together members of the South Palm Beach and Broward community in a strong show of solidarity for the brave young men and women who protect Israel and Jews worldwide, day in and day out at the Annual South Palm Beach & Broward Gala Dec. 4 at the Polo Club of Boca Raton. Dr. Henry and Elaine Spiro, who have long been pillars in the South Palm Beach and Broward FIDF Community will be honored at the event.
The event will feature stories of courage and bravery from Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers, dignitaries and Auburn University Men’s Basketball Head Coach, Bruce Pearl.
“It is our mission to provide for the selfless young men and women who protect Israel, including setting them up for success post-service. It is our sincere pleasure to honor two individuals who have transformed the lives of countless soldiers through educational opportunities,” said Steve Weil, FIDF CEO. “In addition to gifting scholarships through FIDF’s IMPACT! Scholarship Program, the Spiros have been instrumental in ensuring countless future opportunities for soldiers through the Planned Giving Legacy Program.”
FIDF is the sole organization authorized to collect charitable donations on behalf of the soldiers of IDF across the U.S. Its mission is to transform their young lives through empowering educational, financial, well-being and cultural initiatives. Every day, the soldiers of the IDF put their lives on the line to protect the Jewish homeland, and FIDF is whole heartedly committed to providing them with a better everyday life and a brighter future.
Without a strong IDF, there is no Israel, and there is no organization better equipped to meet the social, educational and wellbeing needs of Israel’s heroes than FIDF.
