On April 25, the Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center (Levis JCC) will present its annual “Shine Like a Star” Luncheon at Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton. The event will benefit its Helene & Roy Schwedelson Special Needs Department and its many participants. This year, Will Reeve, a media personality, philanthropist and disability advocate, will be the luncheon’s special guest speaker.
Reeve is a multiplatform commentator for ESPN and serves on the board of directors for the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation as the multigenerational ambassador and community advocate. His powerful perspective on perseverance, courage, compassion, grief and giving back will resonate with attendees who gather each year at this luncheon.
The Department, which serves more than 500 families annually, enhances the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing high-quality social, cultural, recreational and educational programming. With the goal of continuous excellence in current programming, as well as the creation of new and innovative programs, the Department strives for inclusion. The generosity of donors, community partners and grants enable the Levis JCC to provide vital services to the community, regardless of race, religious affiliation or socioeconomic background.
The Boca Raton Observer is the event’s exclusive media sponsor.
