Eight student groups of Philanthropy Tank’s current class of “CHANGEmakers” presented their programs for funding and mentorships to six philanthropist investors at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts on March 13. Each program is designed to implement sustainable solutions to problems impacting our community.
The following groups were selected by philanthropy investors Debra Elmore, Madeleine Flaherty, Hannah Ford, Lisa LaFrance, Caitlen Macias and Gail Meyer Asarch: Bloom for Hope Kids (Olympic Heights Community High School), Curiosity Crew (Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts), DüNation (Park Vista Community High School), Music for Memory (Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts), My Allergy is Driving Me Nuts (Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts), Stem Squad (American Heritage School Delray Beach), Tech Ease (American Heritage School Delray Beach) and Bloom for Hope Kids (Spanish River Community High School).
Philanthropy Tank, celebrating its 10th year in Palm Beach County, stands out as a unique platform that empowers and inspires the next generation of “CHANGEmakers.” Through one-to-one mentoring and funding from philanthropist investors and the implementation of a professional and personal development curriculum, students are equipped to execute initiatives that drive meaningful change while learning to become strong nonprofit leaders.
