One of the world’s greatest artistic achievements has arrived in South Florida. “Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition” at Galleria Fort Lauderdale offers art connoisseurs a rare chance to see the famed frescoes up close and at full scale without traveling to Rome.
The immersive show opened March 12 and runs through June 14, recreating all 34 of Michelangelo’s ceiling and altar panels using high-resolution imagery and specialized printing techniques. Visitors can study the detail, color and emotion of works such as “The Creation of Adam” and “The Last Judgment” at eye level, with the help of informative signage and optional audio guides.
“We are thrilled to bring this immersive experience to Fort Lauderdale,” said Martin Biallas, CEO of SEE Global Entertainment, which produced the show. “Whether you’re an art lover, history enthusiast or someone encountering this masterpiece for the first time, this exhibition allows you to experience Michelangelo’s genius in an intimate and unforgettable way.”
General admission starts at $28, with discounts available for select groups. VIP tickets include any-time entry and a souvenir guidebook.
