As the world reflects on two years since the Oct. 7 massacre and the recent release of the remaining living hostages, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s upcoming South Florida Dinner will feature two generations of survivors of deadly antisemitism: 89-year-old Holocaust survivor Nat Shaffir and 31-year-old Nova Music Festival survivor Noa Beer.
The 2026 South Florida Dinner will take place Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. at Boca West Country Club and will be chaired by Eva and Marvin Schlanger, dedicated museum supporters committed to preserving Holocaust education and memory. Eva’s parents were Holocaust survivors from what was then Czechoslovakia, and Marvin’s parents emigrated to the United States before the outbreak of war, although most of his extended family were murdered in the Holocaust.
The Boca Raton Observer is the exclusive media sponsor for this event.
