The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Southern Florida Chapter will honor Bruce and Cynthia Sherman with the 2025 Hope Award at its annual Luncheon for a Cure: Floral Fete on Tuesday Dec. 2, at 11 a.m at Broken Sound Club in Boca Raton. The luncheon will take place on Giving Tuesday and will bring together community members in celebration of the Shermans’ extraordinary impact.
The Shermans are being recognized for their philanthropic leadership and longstanding commitment to advancing research and support for those affected by Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Their establishment of the Sherman Prize has empowered clinicians, researchers and advocates to make meaningful progress in the fight against inflammatory bowel diseases. Over the years, the Shermans’ generosity has supported groundbreaking research initiatives while also raising awareness of the daily challenges faced by patients and their families. Their efforts have not only funded innovation but also built a legacy of compassion and advocacy in the IBD community. This recognition underscores the vital role of philanthropy in advancing treatments and offering hope to the millions of Americans living with IBD.
