Cancer Alliance of Help & Hope (CAHH) hosted its 5th Annual Dance the Night Away Gala™ on April 11 at The Breakers Palm Beach, raising $1 million for families battling cancer and undergoing treatment.
Chaired by Lois Pope and Caroline Harless, the sold-out event featured 13 local non-professional ballroom dancers who trained with Fred Astaire Dance Studios and captivated the audience and celebrity judges with their inspiring, high-energy routines.
Emmy Award-winning dancer and “Dancing with the Stars” judge Derek Hough served as Master of Ceremonies. Judges Marla Maples, Scott Baio and Allison Stockel named Bianca Blag the 2025 Ballroom Dancer of the Year, while Cindy Karen earned the Lois Pope People’s Choice Award by raising the most funds.
Other dancers included Javier Fernandez, Holly Hanlon, Debra Hoag, Reina Kendall, Taniel Koushakjian, Jennifer Nawrocki, Joan Parker, Jesus Perez-Mendez, Jane Scher, Paul Shalhoub and Ellie Siefken Trimarche.
During dinner, attendees enjoyed special performances by Grammy award-winning jazz artist Eirinn Abu, acclaimed ballroom dancer Evelyn Treacy and DanceSport athlete Dan Radler.
“This was an extraordinary evening brimming with glamour, exhilarating entertainment and lively dancing,” stated Stanton Collemer, CAHH’s CEO. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our participants who dedicated their time and effort amid their hectic schedules to perfect their routines for this special occasion.
