The Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), together with the FAU Alumni Association, will host the “Night of the Giving Dead” Halloween costume party on Friday, Oct. 31, from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at The Addison in Boca Raton. The event is open to guests 21 and older.
Guests will be treated to a ghoulishly fun night at the Five Star Diamond Award–winning venue, which is being transformed into a frighteningly festive setting for the evening. The event will feature a full open premium bar with specialty Halloween-inspired cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres like The Addison Prime Sliders, and food stations offering pasta, flatbread pizza bianca and tacos. Guests can also indulge in an ice cream bar and a variety of sweet treats.
Entertainment will be nonstop, with music from Samurai, a six-member group led by Brian Sanchez, along with past and present members of FAU’s Hoot/Wisdom commercial music band. Their lively setlist will include hits from the 1980s through the 2000s, while DJ Bryan Thompson will keep the dancing going.
Designed in 1925 by famed architect Addison Mizner, The Addison is one of South Florida’s most iconic private event venues, offering the perfect backdrop for this unforgettable evening.
Proceeds from this event will benefit student scholarships in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, which houses the largest number of academic departments at FAU.
The Boca Raton Observer is the exclusive media sponsor for this event.
