Prepare to dazzle in denim at Boca West Country Club on Saturday, Jan. 24, as the Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center (Levis JCC) presents the Marisa & Matthew Baker Jeans, Jewels & The J — A Red Carpet Night.
Beginning at 7 p.m., the community-focused event invites guests to enjoy dinner, live music, dancing and live and silent auctions.
For more than 40 years, the Levis JCC has offered educational, spiritual, social, wellness and recreational programs to promote and enhance Jewish culture, heritage and values. This encompasses a preschool, summer camp, family activities, athletics, cultural arts, adult enrichment and special needs programming, as well as a Resale Boutique for bargain hunters.
Beyond these core programs, proceeds from this event go toward a scholarship and financial aid program allowing hundreds of underprivileged children to participate in preschool, special needs programs and summer camps, including the Betty & Marvin Zale Early Childhood Learning Center, Helene & Roy Schwedelson Special Needs Department and Marleen Forkas Camps.
This year’s event will also recognize several community leaders for their dedication to the Levis JCC. Alicia and Jeff Spero will receive the Phyllis & Harvey Sandler Crystal Award and Nanci and Larry Wachtel will be honored with the Shirley & Allan B. Solomon Leadership Award.
Chaired by Robin and David Blumenkranz, April and Roger Leavy, Leah Spero and Joan and Barry Winograd, this evening of elevated-casual fashion promises plenty of fun, friends and community spirit.
The Boca Raton Observer is the exclusive media sponsor for this event.
