The Adolph & Rose Levis JCC will once again spotlight the power of inclusion when its Shine Like a Star Luncheon returns April 24 at Boca West Country Club.
The annual gathering brings together a devoted community in support of the Levis JCC Helene & Roy Schwedelson Special Needs Department, an essential resource for children, teens and adults with disabilities. Through innovative programming and a vital scholarship fund, the department serves more than 500 families each year and extends its reach to more than 1,000 individuals through outreach initiatives rooted in accessibility and opportunity.
This year’s featured speaker, Kaelynn Partlow, brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the stage. Paltrow is a person with autism who works as a therapist, wrote “Life on the Bridge,” was a cast member on Netflix’s “Love on the Spectrum” and has been widely recognized for her advocacy efforts with Project Hope Foundation. She offers insight into real-world support systems and the impact of community acceptance.
Chaired by Marisa Baker, Lori Fineman and Alexis Frisch, with longtime Founding Chair Judy Levis Krug, the luncheon begins with a VIP reception at 10:30 a.m., followed by the program at 11:30 a.m.
With its focus on empowerment and meaningful connection, Shine Like a Star continues to illuminate the possibilities that emerge when a community comes together with purpose.
