Celebrated author and journalist Susan Orlean closed out the 18th season of MorseLife Health System’s Literary Society Series, “Breakfast with the Authors” by discussing her latest memoir, “Joyride,” on April 13 at The Colony Hotel.
“Curiosity has been the real joy of my life as a writer,” Orlean said in a release. “I’ve found it wonderful to imagine what it’s like to be inside another life or to understand the way something works. Anyone can stay curious and keep discovering something new about the world.”
The event, offered exclusively to members of MorseLife’s Annual Giving Society, has become a signature gathering for readers who appreciate thoughtful conversation paired with a good cause.
“Our Literary Society has become one of the more meaningful and beloved traditions at MorseLife,” says Ashley Robinson, vice president of events at MorseLife Health System. “It is a space where stories connect us, where ideas inspire us and where we are reminded of the power of human experience.”
In addition to Orlean, the season’s lineup of best-selling and critically acclaimed authors included David Baldacci, Wally Lamb and Clare Leslie Hall, with the events supporting MorseLife’s mission to provide care and services for older adults throughout Palm Beach County.
