Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach’s annual fundraising event “We Are Hillel,” is scheduled for March 18 at B’nai Torah Congregation in Boca Raton. This highly anticipated evening will bring together community leaders, philanthropists and advocates to celebrate and support Jewish life on campus.
This year’s event, themed “March Madness,” combines elements of past signature gatherings, “I Am Hillel” and “Hillel 954,” uniting the community for an inspiring program. With antisemitism on the rise across college campuses, Hillel’s work in fostering Jewish identity, leadership and resilience has never been more critical. Attendees will hear firsthand from students who have navigated campus challenges while strengthening their Jewish pride and commitment to Israel.
The event will feature dinner, a student panel and an impactful program highlighting Hillel’s essential role in enriching the lives of nearly 5,000 Jewish students across Florida Atlantic University, Lynn University, Nova Southeastern University, Palm Beach State College and Broward College.
Honorees for the evening include Debbie Newman Bernstein, Roberta Loomar and special recognition honoree Robin Struhl. Their dedication and generosity have played a pivotal role in advancing Hillel’s mission and impact.
“We Are Hillel” promises an unforgettable evening of community, connection and purpose, and the perfect opportunity to meet the new Executive Director Jason Harris, who brings a fresh vision and leadership to Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach.
The Boca Raton Observer is the event’s exclusive media sponsor.
