On Jan. 13, 2024, The Rotary Club of Boca Raton will host its 26th Annual OPAL Gala to honor outstanding people and leaders who have made the community a better place to live, work and learn through philanthropy and volunteerism.
Together with Honorary Chair Christine E. Lynn, Co-Chairs Jan Savarick, Neil Saffer and Spencer Siegel will celebrate Kathy & Paul Adkins, Suzy Broad, Susan & Peter Brockway, Suzi Goldsmith and Patricia McCarthy.
Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with a s cocktail reception at Boca West Country Club, followed by a seated dinner, auction and program honoring OPAL Society’s newest members.
The OPAL Gala proceeds provides scholarships that create a transformational change in the lives of students who don’t have the opportunity to attend college, as well as providing funding for certificate and trade programs such as firefighters and paramedics. Supporting the gala creates a brighter future for these students and their families for generations to come.
To ensure that scholarship recipients succeed, The Rotary Club of Boca Raton assigns a mentor to each student. They also help procure internship opportunities and assist them in finding jobs when they graduate. Every dollar raised benefits The Rotary Club of Boca Raton’s Service Missions, including Youth Scholarship Programs.
