The fifth season of Summer Sips & Sounds will come to a close Sept. 17 with “Seventies by the Sea,” an evening of live music inspired by some of the best-known songs of the 1970s. Presented by The Schmidt Boca Raton Historical Society and Festival of the Arts Boca, the concert will take place at the Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum’s Historic Town Hall.
This event is the third and final program in the 2026 Summer Sips & Sounds series, which connects live music with local history through performances and brief presentations by museum curator Susan Gillis exploring each evening’s theme.
Scheduled performers include guitarist and vocalist Phil Fest, saxophonist John Michalak and vocalist Joanna Kaye. The setlist includes Jimmy Buffett’s “Margaritaville,” Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams,” Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend” and Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain.”
Guests may check in beginning at 6 p.m., with the performance scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Admission includes wine, light bites, dessert and access to a post-concert social gathering.
Summer Sips & Sounds began its 2026 season with “Celebrate America: 250 Years in Song” on July 2, followed by “Timeless Standards: The Songs of the 1930s” on Aug. 20.
