‘The Piana From Savannah’ And ‘The Train’ Come To Boca Raton
Victor Wainwright, famously known as “The Piana From Savannah,” is set to bring his electrifying blend of blues, folk, country and rock to The Funky Biscuit at Mizner Park in Boca Raton on April 4. A Grammy-nominated artist with a commanding stage presence, Wainwright and his band, “The Train,” have gained acclaim for their distinctive sound and high-energy performances.
“The Train” features Wainwright on piano and vocals, along with an all-star lineup: Terrence Grayson on bass, Pat Harrington on guitar, Samuel L. Butts on drums and Chandler Judkins and Gavin Jorgensen as “The Train Horns.” Their dynamic performances have captivated audiences across North America, earning Wainwright five Blues Music Piano Awards, Band of the Year honors and the coveted B.B. King Entertainer of the Year Award.
The band’s latest album, “Memphis Loud,” showcases its signature energy and soul-stirring sounds. As Elmore Magazine raved, “Not just loud, but ‘Memphis Loud,’ the latest sermon of boisterous, big-hearted Americana from Victor Wainwright and ‘The Train’ is an absolute showstopper that shakes, rattles and rolls until it is completely out of breath.”
According to a press release, Wainwright is a “raucous, high-octane, dynamic performer and crowd-pleaser with soul to spare.”
