Food takes center stage at Taste of Asia: A Culinary and Cultural Experience in Delray Beach, where guests sample Asian-inspired dishes while wandering the outdoor spaces at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens after hours on March 7.
Attendees are invited to explore the gardens with a tasting “passport,” sampling signature dishes from some of South Florida’s most celebrated restaurants. From refined Japanese bites to bold Southeast Asian creations, the dishes are paired with curated wines, handcrafted cocktails and premium sake. The gardens span more than 16 acres and feature six distinct historical styles, providing a tranquil backdrop for the event.
The evening includes live performances from the taiko drumming ensemble Fushu Daiko and the group 8 Bit Wave, which draws on video game and anime music to create a distinctly Japanese pop sound. Guests will also have the rare opportunity to watch visiting artist Yasunori Kimata create a live painting, offering a window into contemporary Japanese artistry.
Beyond the culinary and artistic immersion, the event supports the museum’s educational programs, exhibitions and community initiatives through an auction featuring fine art, jewelry and exclusive experiences.
