The West Boca Theatre Company, presented by the Adolph & Rose Levis JCC Sandler Center, has announced a new season featuring a curated lineup of award-winning comedic and drama performances.
These live productions are part of the Levis JCC Sandler Center’s dynamic season of arts, culture and learning, which also includes author appearances, thought-provoking adult learning discussions and the 9th Annual Judy Levis Krug Boca Raton Jewish Film Festival.
“I love that people come to the Levis JCC Sandler Center for programs that challenge them to learn, grow, meet and connect,” says Stephanie Owitz, vice president of the Levis JCC Sandler Center. “This season of theater performances promises to do just that. I am very excited about this season’s lineup — it’s a wonderful mix of comedy, compelling drama and entertaining staged readings. Our productions offer really wonderful content, presented by excellent performers, in a warm and friendly community setting.”
The season, which runs from January to March, includes highly anticipated shows like “My Old Lady” by famed playwright Israel Horovitz; “My Name is Asher Lev,” a poignant exploration of a young Jewish painter torn between his faith and his artistic promise; “Art,” a humorous look at the complexities of relationships and “Marriage & Other Mysteries,” a moving story about the courage it takes to truly love.
For more than 20 years, the Levis JCC’s West Boca Theatre Company has been a cornerstone of South Florida’s cultural scene, providing a platform where diverse voices meet to celebrate the many layers of human experience.
