The City of Boca Raton will celebrate National Bike Month with its second annual Bike Rodeo on Saturday, May 30, at Countess de Hoernle Park. The free event invites children ages 6 to 10 to learn bicycle safety, practice riding skills and build confidence in a fun, supervised setting.
Participants will receive a bike fit and safety inspection, hands-on safety education and the chance to navigate a closed course designed to improve balance and control. Free helmets will be provided while supplies last, and a brief guided trail ride will give young cyclists an opportunity to put their new skills to the test. Riders are encouraged to bring their own bikes, though a limited number will be available to borrow from Jack the Bike Man.
The Bike Rodeo will be offered in four 30-minute sessions between 9 and 11 a.m. Pre-registration is required, space is limited and a parent or guardian must remain with children throughout the event.
