Explore South Florida’s Natural Wonders With The ‘WILD In The Palm Beaches Tour’
Discover South Florida’s wildlife with the “WILD in the Palm Beaches Tour,” an immersive experience that takes guests through three of Palm Beach County’s most renowned conservation sites: Manatee Lagoon, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary at Abramson & Schlaggar Reserve and Loggerhead Marinelife Center.
This half-day, family-friendly adventure runs Sundays at 10:30 a.m. through April 27. It lasts approximately four and a half hours and includes transportation and a meal. Visitors will connect with the region’s diverse wildlife, engage in hands-on experiences and support essential conservation efforts.
The tour kicks off at Manatee Lagoon, a Florida Power & Light (FPL) Eco-Discovery Center. Participants will take in stunning views of Lake Worth Lagoon before joining a guided experience led by a manatee expert. The visit includes an interactive tour through the facility’s educational exhibits, culminating at the outdoor observation deck for a chance to spot manatees and other marine life in their natural habitat.
From there, participants will board the Wildlife Connection shuttle and head to Busch Wildlife Sanctuary at Abramson & Schlaggar Reserve, a 20-acre refuge dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating native Florida wildlife. Here, visitors will come face-to-face with some of the sanctuary’s 200 residents, including reptiles, birds, foxes, otters and bears—all while learning about vital conservation efforts.
The final stop brings explorers to Loggerhead Marinelife Center, where they’ll get an up-close look at sea turtle rehabilitation. Tour the facility’s hospital, meet current sea turtle patients and discover the ongoing initiatives to protect and preserve them.
