The sweetest time of year is almost here. Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida will kick off the 2026 Cookie Season today, running through Feb. 15. Along with classic cookies like Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs, a brand-new addition joins the lineup: Exploremores.
Inspired by rocky road ice cream, the Exploremores sandwich cookie is filled with chocolate, marshmallow and toasted almond-flavored crème. Its adventurous name reflects the spirit of curiosity and confidence that Girl Scouts strives to instill in every girl.
The annual cookie program is more than a fundraiser — it’s the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world. By selling cookies, girls learn essential skills such as goal setting and money management, while building confidence and leadership abilities. Profits from every box sold stay local, funding activities like outdoor adventures, service projects and travel opportunities.
“Every cookie season reminds us of the limitless potential within every Girl Scout,” says Lisa Johnson, CEO of Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida. “At a time when girls need strong support systems more than ever before, we are proud to provide opportunities that help them grow into the leaders our communities and our world need.”
To encourage goal setting, Girl Scouts who sell at least 100 boxes will receive free membership for the following year. High school seniors who reach that milestone have their lifetime membership fully funded, celebrating their commitment as they transition into alumnae.
Cookies can be purchased directly from a Girl Scout, found through the Cookie Finder tool or bought online for home delivery. Community members can also support the 18th annual Cookies for the Military program, which sends donated boxes to service members at home and abroad. Last year, nearly 45,000 boxes were donated, and since the program began, more than 858,000 boxes have been shipped.
