Holiday cheer filled the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson World Performing Arts Center on Dec. 7 as Lynn University welcomed a sold-out audience to its Gingerbread Holiday Concert. The annual event brought families, friends and music lovers together for an afternoon of festive spirit and outstanding student talent.
“The Gingerbread Holiday Concert is such a special tradition, having raised more than $1.4 million to support scholarships for Lynn Conservatory of Music students,” says Lisa Miller, director of advancement.
This year’s concert raised $110,730, continuing a legacy that helps talented musicians pursue their dreams.
Led by Dr. Jon Robertson, dean of the Lynn University Conservatory of Music, the Philharmonia delivered a joyful program packed with seasonal favorites. From a spirited “Hanukkah Festival” overture to the “Nutcracker Mini Jazz Suite” and a show-stopping performance of “A Charleston Christmas,” the concert offered something for everyone.
The afternoon also spotlighted the conservatory’s rising stars in smaller ensemble performances. Highlights included “A Christmas Jazz Suite” by the woodwind quintet, “As One” performed by 2026 graduate percussionists Jose Diaz and Johnny Monk and a soulful rendition of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” by student jazz group Boca Train.
