Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s TurtleFest Returns For Its 20th Year
Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s (LMC) 20th annual TurtleFest is returns to Juno Beach for a two-day celebration filled with family-friendly activities, immersive educational exhibits, and unique shopping experiences — all in support of ocean conservation and marine life. Presented by Amazon, it is scheduled for Feb. 22-23.
As visitors step into the center, they’ll engage with marine conservation efforts firsthand. For example, LMC’s outdoor sea turtle hospital offers an up-close look at the patients currently being treated by the center’s dedicated staff. Conservation Row provides insights and practical tips on living more sustainably, inspiring attendees to positively impact the environment. Meanwhile, young aspiring vets can step into the Junior Veterinary Lab, a 30-minute program that educates children about the rescue and rehabilitation of sea turtles. Through hands-on learning, junior vets gain knowledge about common injuries and illnesses affecting these endangered animals.
Beyond the educational experiences, attendees can also browse local artists’ and merchants’ booths and enjoy a diverse selection of bites and beverages. Live performances by local bands, including Bryce Allyn Band, Making Faces, The Leafy Greens Band, Brooks Herring, East Harbor and The Legerheads, will set the stage for a TurtleFest to remember.
