Matthew Levin Named New CEO Of JAFCO
Jewish Adoption and Family Care Options, aka JAFCO, has announced the appointment of Matthew Levin as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
A South Florida native, Levin brings more than 35 years of leadership experience in the Jewish nonprofit sector. He previously served as the Southeastern States Director at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) for 25 years and held the role of president and CEO of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County (JFSPBC) for over a decade.
“I am honored and excited to step into this role,” says Levin. “Ensuring children are safe and have the resources to grow up in a secure, supportive environment is our highest priority. I look forward to building upon the remarkable legacy established by our recently retired founding CEO, Sarah Franco, and her incredible leadership team over the past three decades. I watched both Sarah and our founding COO Wendy Jenkins build this agency, and I am deeply committed to serving as the next CEO for this life-changing agency that is unlike any other in our community.”
During his time at JFSPBC, Levin managed more than $450 million in assets and oversaw the organization’s expansive 100-acre campus. His leadership was pivotal in growing the Federation’s donor base, fostering deeper community engagement and solidifying its role as a central hub for Jewish life in South Palm Beach County.
Among his notable accomplishments was leading the development of the Toby & Leon Cooperman Sinai Residences, a premier senior living community on the Federation’s campus — from concept to completion.
“We are thrilled to welcome Matt as CEO,” says Stewart Greenberg, JAFCO Children’s Village board chair. “His deep community ties and decades of experience in philanthropy will be a tremendous asset for JAFCO. Matt’s leadership and expertise will continue the mission of the agency and positively impact the lives of the precious children and families we serve.”
JAFCO Children’s Foundation Board Chair Larry Robinson adds, “We are confident that with Matt’s leadership, JAFCO will continue to meet the evolving needs of those we serve and help us to expand our impact even further.”
