PJ Library And Jewish Federation Of South Palm Beach County To Host Annual ‘Celebrate Israel’ Event
Families are invited to join PJ Library and the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County for “Celebrate Israel” — a free, fun-filled community event designed to bring Israeli culture, heritage and Jewish traditions to life.
Taking place on Sunday, May 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Patch Reef Park in Boca Raton, the festive afternoon promises something for everyone. Attendees can enjoy bounce houses, hands-on crafts, mitzvah projects, upbeat Israeli music, delicious bites from local food trucks and engaging activities led by the Shinshinim — enthusiastic young Israeli ambassadors who share their culture through storytelling and interactive experiences.
“This event is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together in celebration of Israel,” says Elana Ostroff, director of PJ Library and Family Engagement. “Through music, crafts and interactive activities, children and families can deepen their connection to Israeli culture, experience the joy of community and show their Jewish pride.”
PJ Library is widely recognized for its mission to provide free Jewish books to families with young children, fostering Jewish identity and learning through storytelling and community-building programs. “Celebrate Israel” is one of its hallmark events, reflecting the program’s dedication to creating meaningful, family-friendly experiences rooted in Jewish values and traditions.
