Quantum Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2026 Quantum in the Community program, offering $1.25 million in funding to grassroots nonprofits serving Palm Beach County.
Now in its 16th year, the program supports organizations focused on health and wellness by addressing essential needs, including food, housing, transportation and financial assistance.
“Quantum in the Community continues to be one of the most meaningful ways we invest directly in the well-being of Palm Beach County residents,” says Eric Kelly, president of Quantum Foundation.
The funding cycle aligns with a milestone for the foundation, which is celebrating 30 years of community impact. Since its inception, Quantum Foundation has awarded $184 million to local organizations and now stewards approximately $172 million in assets.
In 2025, the program distributed $1.25 million in unrestricted funds to 140 nonprofits, part of a 10-year, $12.5 million commitment announced last year.
Nominations also remain open for the Marie Thorpe Above & Beyond Award, which honors an individual for exceptional community service. The honoree receives $2,500, with an additional $2,500 awarded to the nominating organization.
Grant recipients will be announced in October and recognized Nov. 17 at the Quantum in the Community Awards Breakfast. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits operating locally for at least six months with annual budgets of $500,000 or less. The deadline to apply is Aug. 2.
