The Boca Raton Observer added another milestone to its awards history, earning 21 total honors — including eight Charlie Awards — at this year’s Florida Magazine Association Awards, held June 5. The recognition spans writing, photography, design execution and digital presentation, reflecting the magazine’s commitment to excellence across every platform it touches.
Established in 1953, the Florida Magazine Association is the largest state magazine and media association in the nation. Its annual Charlie Awards have recognized superior work since 1957, celebrating excellence in Florida publishing.
This year’s results highlight both depth and consistency, from long-form features and departments to visual storytelling. The honors are the result of a collaborative effort by a dedicated editorial and creative team, supported by loyal readers, advertisers and community partners who make ambitious journalism possible.
