Jojo Fetterman never planned on becoming a fashion stylist. Today, the 30-year-old Boca Raton native styles professional athletes, executives and luxury clients across the country. In 2024, E! News named her one of its “Top 10 Impactful and Influential Trendsetters,” recognizing her talent for creating standout looks for sports stars both on and off the red carpet.
Fashion wasn’t on Fetterman’s radar when she moved to New York after college. Cycling through a series of office jobs made her realize that the traditional 9-to-5 path wasn’t for her, but when an opportunity arose to work as an assistant to a top personal shopper at Bergdorf Goodman, she jumped at the chance. The role, she says, was straight out of “The Devil Wears Prada.” Fetterman fetched matchas and espressos, ran errands and handled countless tasks — but she also received an invaluable education in luxury fashion.
“I always loved clothes, but I never knew how to put things together until I started at Bergdorf’s,” she says. “I learned how to combine styles and colors and develop my own point of view.”
Fetterman soon discovered a passion for menswear, and she began shadowing a stylist in the Bergdorf Goodman Men’s Store, before connecting on Instagram with a prominent Los Angeles–based stylist, who she assisted with wardrobe selections for professional athletes.
When the pandemic brought New York to a standstill, she launched her business, StylinbyJojo on Instagram and began reaching out directly to prospective clients with personalized digital lookbooks. Her persistence paid off. One of her earliest clients was Immanuel Quickley, then with the New York Knicks. As his profile grew, so did hers, and referrals soon helped her build a roster of NBA and NFL players and their families. Among those she has worked with are Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Justin Fields and Buffalo Bills edge rusher Greg Rousseau, a former member of the University of Miami Hurricanes.
Today, Fetterman helps clients refine their personal style while sourcing coveted handbags and limited-edition collections through her extensive industry network. She also works as a stylist and personal shopper for Saks Fifth Avenue, and she recently returned to Boca Raton, transferring from the New York flagship store. Thrilled to be back near family and newly engaged, Fetterman is focused on expanding her South Florida clientele via her website, stylinbyjojo.com, while also developing her own jewelry line.
“I’ve built my career one relationship at a time,” she says. “Helping someone feel confident in what they’re wearing never gets old.”
