Once caught in a cycle of addiction and personal hardship, Ryan Zofay emerged with a renewed purpose: to inspire others through his work as a life and business coach, entrepreneur and author.
As the founder and CEO of We Level Up, a company headquartered in Deerfield
Beach serving individuals struggling with addiction, alcoholism and mental health, Zofay is transforming lives by sharing his knowledge and experiences to guide individuals toward self-discovery, personal growth and professional development. Founded in 2013 and rebranded in
2020, We Level Up now operates seven inpatient treatment centers across Florida, New Jersey, Texas, California and Washington state.
You can add to those credentials the titles of motivational speaker and author of the book “An Unlikely Businessman: From Overdosed to Multimillionaire.”
Zofay was raised in a high-crime area of Boynton Beach by alcoholic and drug-addicted parents. His own journey included drug use, dropping out of school in seventh grade, spending two years in and out of juvenile detention centers and facing 21 felony charges.
A near-fatal car accident, his mother’s sobriety and advocacy and a judge’s second chance all helped turn his life around.
“I had a choice to change my perspective and view those trying times as gifts, rather than challenges,” says Zofay, 40. “For so long, I blamed other people and was a victim. I didn’t recognize that I had a choice to not continue negative behavior — and to forgive,” the Delray Beach resident shares.
He explains that motivational figures like Tony Robbins, Myron Golden, David Traub and Dr. Joe Dispenza helped him “remodel the reality of my world by changing my personality, which helped me change my reality.”
Zofay recognizes that the difficult situations he has endured have conditioned and prepared him for the life he has
today, and he feels grateful.
“As a transformational speaker and influencer, I can really relate to people who have been in the same position,” he says. “I speak to the unconscious and help to rewire belief systems through experiential processes.”
Zofay holds approximately 10 events a year at his company’s studio, which accommodates 130 to 150 attendees, and is planning an 800-person event in Miami next January.
He hopes to grow both his treatment centers and coaching business — “so we can help more people,” he says — and continue expanding the impact of a life rebuilt with purpose.
