American poet and essayist Kathleen Norris hit the mark when she said, “Peace — that was the other name for home.” Indeed, in today’s fast‑paced world where our schedules are packed with responsibilities that never seem to end and life can feel overwhelming, coming back to the respite of one’s home is not only wonderful but necessary. But home is more than just a place to unwind. It’s where we can truly be ourselves, recharge and find a sense of balance.
Who better to lead the way than the phenomenal Jennie Garth? While you may know her as the strong-willed and resilient Kelly Taylor from the iconic ‘90s hit “Beverly Hills, 90210,” you may not know that she’s built a successful brand around “I Choose Me” — three iconic words she once spoke on the show. Our cover story, “Jennie’s Journey” (page 70), recounts how she’s sharing this empowering message across multiple platforms, including her latest venture — an apparel collection available on QVC called Me. She also serves as a Q50 ambassador, celebrating women over 50 and encouraging confidence in every stage of life. This resonates deeply with me because, as a woman over 50, I understand the beauty of embracing who we are as we grow, evolving with grace, strength and self-assurance.
The spirit of purposeful living is also at the heart of “The Accidental Lifestyle Expert” (page 82). This inspiring read showcases the extraordinary achievements of Danny Seo and his mission to make sustainability a seamless part of home design. Whether you know him as the chief lifestyle contributor and member of “Drew’s Crew” on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” admire his magazine, Naturally, Danny Seo, or love his eco-friendly products found in stores nationwide, his influence will leave you rethinking how style and sustainability go hand-in-hand when it comes to your home.
Speaking of home, “No Place Like Home” (page 76) takes us on a fascinating journey through 2025’s latest design trends, where furniture, walls and even ceilings are undergoing exciting transformations. Stay ahead of the curve with cutting-edge technology and discover how wellness is making its way into our interior spaces (sauna room, anyone?).
It’s clear that our community has a deep appreciation for beautiful spaces. We asked designers, decorators and builders across South Florida to submit their top project for our Home of the Year title — and wow, did they deliver! It was a challenge to narrow down the outstanding submissions to just one winner. Our feature, “A Showstopping Transformation” (page 88), highlights the breathtaking details that made this project our top choice.
I cannot close without mentioning my favorite home: the City of Boca Raton. It has nurtured and nourished my family, serving as our sanctuary for nearly 30 years. As we approach its 100th birthday in late May, I am deeply honored to announce that we will be dedicating our June/July Issue as The Boca Raton Centennial Issue — a special commemorative edition celebrating our fantastic city. Designed as a keepsake, this issue will pay tribute to Boca Raton’s rich history and mark the milestone with the recognition it deserves. I can’t wait to share it with you and see it in readers’ hands and on their coffee tables!
The best is still to come,
