Read on for an inspiring chat between Taylor and SOS organizers.
Q: At age 15 you are already a budding philanthropist. What stirs your passion to help others?
A: Helping others makes me feel good. Knowing that my actions can make a difference inspires me to continue moving forward. Every little bit helps. Forward is forward.
Q: What made you interested in becoming involved in fundraising for SOS?
A: Children do not get to choose their environment they are born into. I have been very blessed with a great family. SOS Children’s Villages Florida creates stable, loving families for many foster children, so I just felt like I wanted to donate these dollars to a worthy and deserving cause.
Q: So far you have raised over $2,000 for the Steps For SOS Virtual 5K Run/Walk on Nov. 7. What do you attribute your fundraising success to?
A: Word of mouth, personal relationships and social media.
Q: Any advice for people looking to make a difference in the world?
A: Focus on your strengths and do something even in the smallest way that aligns with your passion.
