If you have ever considered downsizing, we mean really downsizing, then you might want to check out the Great American Tiny House Show taking place Sept. 24-25 at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach.
The first show was held in 2017 to address the housing crisis in three cities — Portland, Tacoma and Tampa — and has now grown to nine cities nationwide.
Industry experts expect the tiny home market will grow an average of 7% annually, so if you have been thinking of joining the tiny home revolution, now may be the time.
Tiny house builders from around the country will be on hand to share their expertise. There will be sessions designed to help existing builders as well as speakers who have taken the plunge to share what it’s like to pare down to the bare minimum.
Several builders also will be on hand with some of their homes so visitors will be able to walk through a variety of structures from shipping containers to tiny houses on wheels and everything in between. That’s not all, vendors selling furniture made just for these tiny dwellings, as well as other things you will need such as windows, insulation, plumbing, solar power and more will also be there.
