You may want to wait a while before you start that diet. This month, the downtown culinary scene kicks off the 7th Annual Downtown Delray Beach Restaurant Month. From Sept. 1 to Sept. 30, more than 50 restaurants, cafes and fast-casual eateries will be taking part in a wide range of culinary experiences at special pricing.
Known as “Restaurant Row” Atlantic Avenue has become the place to eat and be seen. The event features special multi-course prix fixe lunch and dinner menus, as well as happy hour, brunch specials and culinary events.
Restaurant month is produced by the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA) in partnership with area restaurants. The DDA neighborhoods include: The West Atlantic Neighborhood, The Ave (Atlantic Avenue), Pineapple Grove, SOFA, US1 and Beachside.
You might want to make your reservations early because, as with any great deal, tables fill quickly as the feeding frenzy gets underway. At deadline there were 41 restaurants participating and more being added every day. They include City Oyster and Sushi Bar, Delray Beach Market, Over The Bridge Cafe and Rocco’s Tacos.
