Impact 100 Palm Beach County has something to celebrate.
The group, which has awarded more than $3.8 million in grants to 68 local nonprofits and is the second largest Impact 100 chapter in the world, is toasting its “Cheers to 10 Years” milestone.
But it’s not resting on its laurels. The group, which has 500 members, wants to add 100 more to its ranks in 2021 so it can grant $600,000 to deserving nonprofits.
Impact 100 Palm Beach County, a women’s 501c3 nonprofit organization funding local nonprofit initiative, is comprised of women who donate $1,000 annually, pool all funds and vote to award multiple $100,000 grants to nonprofits serving southern Palm Beach County in five areas: Arts, Culture and Historic Preservation; Education; Environment and Animal Welfare; Family; and Health and Wellness.
“We strive to connect, engage and inspire women to improve our community by collectively funding impactful $100,000 grants to nonprofits in our area that are dedicated to addressing the challenges facing our community,” says Kathy Adkins, the group’s president. “The more members we have, the more money we can give to nonprofits in southern Palm Beach County.”
