Some toe-tapping results came out of a recent study showing the countries that exert the most musical influence worldwide.
The research, produced by medimops, Europe’s largest online marketplace for second-hand CD’s and records, determined that the United States ranks number one out of 30.
Countries were graded based on the highest scores among more than 10,000 knowledgeable folks in the music business in a compilation considering five categories: leadership, connectivity with the rest of the world, influential culture, politically influential and robust international alliances, all based on global perceptions.
The United States scored 100 while Poland came in last.
The United Kingdom, with a score of 75.3 ranked second; France, with 62.7 took the third spot; and Germany placed fourth with 62.7.
The United States produced the highest number of artists whose music is streamed around the globe, followed by the United Kingdom, Canada and South Korea.
Musicians whose songs played most frequently on streaming services globally are Ed Sheeran followed by Billie Eilish and Post Malone.
Russia, the survey reported, produces the most classical music, the United States puts out more rock, pop and electronic music and Brazil received the highest world music uniqueness score, which means its folk and traditional music is the most distinct from other countries. Colombia and Ireland follow Brazil.
