“An interior is the natural projection of the soul,” Coco Chanel famously said. I’ve always found that to be true. There’s something deeply satisfying about bringing a room to life through thoughtful, personal details. The spaces we create tell our stories — who we are, where we’ve been and how we choose to live.
It’s that personal connection to home, beauty and creativity that shapes this entire March Home + Design Issue. That approach to design is perfectly embodied by our cover star, the incomparable Alison Victoria. In “Where Style Meets Soul” (page 70), she shares her inspiring journey — from a 10-year-old rearranging furniture in her childhood home to one of HGTV’s most recognizable faces.
Of course, great design doesn’t stop at what’s inside our walls —
it extends to the structures that shape the world’s cities and skylines. After all, is there anything more awe-inspiring than a beautifully crafted building that stands the test of time? In the story “Metropolitan Majesty” (page 76), we celebrate 10 cities worth visiting for their architectural glory. After reading this piece, I added more than a few new destinations to my travel wish list.
Fashion has no shortage of celebrated names, but few bring the same sense of purpose as Israeli-born Kobi Halperin. Having held influential roles as executive creative director for both Elie Tahari and Kenneth Cole, he is now deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of designers, which he tells us about in “Fashioned With Integrity” (page 82).
We wrap things up with our 2026 Home of the Year winner in “Boca Bliss” (page 88). With so many entries, drawn from a wide swath of stunning properties, choosing just one was no easy task, and we’re grateful for everyone who took the time to share their work with us. We think you’ll enjoy discovering the winner, a gorgeous Boca Raton home, as much as we did.
At its heart, this issue is a celebration of creativity, intention and the spaces we call home. I hope you find inspiration throughout.
All the best,
Linda L. Behmoiras
