There are Several reasons I admire Oprah Winfrey, one of them being the words of wisdom she often shares. Her quote “To travel is to take a journey into yourself” could not be truer. I’ve always been passionate about exploring the world, whether a weekend getaway to visit family, a staycation in Florida to recharge or an adventure to Europe and beyond (my bucket list keeps growing!). I thrive on leaving the comfort of my routine, and, to echo Oprah, oftentimes learn something new about myself. Travel, after all, is about more than just where you go — it’s about how those experiences help shape you. I recently embarked on three distinctly different trips, each offering unique insights and valuable experiences. As a person with a serious case of wanderlust, I am thrilled to share this February Travel Issue with you.
We kick off with the exotic destination of Jaipur, India, in “Queen City” (page 64). This captivating read offers a peek into the city’s regal heritage within the embrace of a luxurious new hotel.
If you love cruising as much as I do, you won’t want to miss “Sailing With The Wind” (page 70). This isn’t just a voyage — it’s an invitation to step back in time on a magnificent vessel while exploring the postcard-perfect islands of the Caribbean.
Of course, one of the greatest joys of traveling is indulging in diverse cuisines while discovering and learning about the local wines that elevate the experience. That is precisely what our editor Alona Abbady Martinez did on her incredible journey through California’s wine country. Dive into her story “Napa Narratives” (page 76) for all the delicious details.
They say gardens are where nature and artistry meet, creating spaces that soothe the soul. In our final feature, “The Ultimate Hotels For Garden Lovers” (page 84), we explore breathtaking retreats embracing lush landscapes from intricate topiaries to vibrant flower beds, all designed to inspire and rejuvenate.
No matter where your next adventure takes you — whether near or far — I hope this issue motivates you to pack your bags, broaden your horizons and learn a little more about yourself along the way. In the meantime, enjoy “season” in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Highland Beach and have a love-filled Valentine’s Day overflowing with appreciation, chocolate, hearts and lots of laughter.
Enjoy all your travels,
Linda L. Behmoiras
