Dirt, Rust, and Non-Girl Stuff
The 2022 Master of Fine Arts Exhibition, Dirt, Rust, and Non-Girl Stuff, features works by graduating Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) candidate, Victoria Carballo. Dirt, Rust, and Non-Girl Stuff explores identity, mental health, and tradition.
Considering the customs of her Cuban heritage, Carballo uses materials and processes that reflect conventions related to gender identity, expression, and craft. These subjects are represented via assemblages that exist as stand-alone sculptures and installations.
The exhibition will be presented in the Schmidt Center Gallery, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus through Saturday, May 28 and will continue by appointment only until Saturday, July 2 by calling the University Galleries Office at 561-297-2661. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
