A New Interactive Musical for Children and Their Families

The Wick Theatre has a special treat for families this summer as the interactive musical The Adventures of Peter Rabbit comes to Boca Raton. The adorable production, originally staged at the famed Storybook Theatre of Los Angeles, offers a fun, new version based on the characters and stories by Beatrix Potter. The enchanting musical opens Saturday, June 25 at 1pm and then runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm through July 31. Tickets are $20 for children, $30 for adults. “This experience is the perfect introduction to musical theatre for children,” said Marilynn A. Wick, Executive Managing Producer. “This show offers a funny take on the classic story and was specifically created to appeal to the entire family. And no one will want to miss out on the special version of the Bunny Hop!”

The Adventures of Peter Rabbit made its debut at the Storybook Theatre in Los Angeles and features a book & lyrics by Anthony Gruppuso and music by Matt Dahan. While Potter’s tale had some dark elements, this new production offers a light-hearted plot, featuring the same characters and introducing a new character, Nanny Bunny. This production was nominated for three Valley Theatre Awards including best Director and Best Musical

“What excites me most is the audiences’ reaction,” said Gruppuso, who is also the musical’s director. “Especially seeing how involved the parents are. It’s a pleasure not having them texting or sitting there bored out of their gourd, but instead they are belly laughing at the jokes and the antics of the characters in the show.”

The cast members include Wick favorites Cat Pagano as Cottontail, Jonathan Eisele as Peter Rabbit, Michael Scott Ross as Mr. McGregor and Aaron Bower as Nana Bunny.
