To celebrate Black History Month, Apple is hosting Today at Apple sessions across the country focused on the theme “Black Resistance Through Art,” with Miami sessions at Apple Aventura taking place from February 10-26.
Inspired by the vast African diaspora, the sessions will be led by emerging Black creators pushing boundaries in the arts, including a Live Art painting session with local artist, poet, and entrepreneur Reyna Noriega. There will also be an exclusive Black storytelling session with photographer Terence C. Price II and a performance by PAPERWATER.
Event details:
February 10 — Apple Aventura @ 7:00 PM: Exclusive Black Storytelling with Terence C. Price II, an artist who emerges from a tradition of mid-twentieth-century street photography, capturing the world around him in evocative portraits and cinematic snapshots.
February 24 — Apple Aventura @ 7:00 PM: Performance by PAPERWATER, a pop duo with sound that flows from heavy soul, house, to lofi love.
February 26 — Apple Aventura @ 3:00 PM: Live Art Paintings of Resilience session with Reyna Noriega, who aims not to be a voice for the voiceless, rather lead them to feel empowered using their own voice.
