Boca Raton Museum of Art Curator Kelli Bodle leads a close look at Jose Álvarez (D.O.P.A.) and his first work in glass, "Echoes of Silence in the Galactic Garden" (2025).

This vibrant mirror features intricate floral patterns and rich gold details that shimmer as light shifts across its surface. The design reflects Álvarez's lush tropical garden, which he created with his late husband, famed stage magician James Randi.

Álvarez's visuals often feel psychedelic or deeply mystical, depending on one's perspective. This glass mirror carries forward his signature style in a new medium, extending his exploration of spiritual imagination.
