Care for Kids Cocktail Reception

ChildNet will host the annual “Care for Kids” cocktail event on Thursday, May 11th at the Lauderdale Yacht Club from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

During the event, guests will enjoy drinks and appetizers while bidding on their favorite silent auction items.

The event, is an opportunity for the Broward County community to rally behind ChildNet, Broward County’s Community-Based Care lead agency that protects abused, abandoned and neglected children in the community, and show support for children in foster care.

In honor of her commitment to ChildNet, Melida Akiti, VP of Ambulatory Services for Memorial Healthcare, will be honored with the 2023 Champion for Children award for her hard work and ongoing support of ChildNet and the children it serves.

By supporting this event, you join hundreds of stakeholders who make ChildNet possible. Most of ChildNet’s budget is restricted to specific priorities. The funds raised from the “Care for Kids” event will provide ChildNet the flexibility to prioritize the needs of our children, youth, and caregivers and take advantage of opportunities that arise and react to unforeseen challenges.
