In 2024 alone, The Food Fight Program brought $394,320 in food support to our Neighbors struggling with food insecurity. The program began in 2018, as way to help pay off the school lunch debt in Broward County and has now grown into a initiative focused on providing nutritious groceries to families in low-income communities, serving as a beacon of hope for those facing food insecurity. We believe that access to nutritious food is not just a basic necessity but a fundamental right. By bringing essential food items and resources right into the heart of neighborhoods, we're not just filling stomachs – we're nurturing health, wellness, and resilience within our communities.
“We are thrilled to team up with Hooters who is a longtime partner and a champion for so many in our community,” said Neighbors 4 Neighbors President and CEO Katy Meagher. For more information, visit https://neighbors4neighbors.org/foodfight/.
“We have supported Neighbors 4 Neighbors efforts to help local children over the past several years. We look forward to everyone joining us on March 19 to raise funds for families in our community who are affected by food insecurity,” said Hooters of South Florida Director of Marketing Kristi Quarles. Hooters created the Friendraiser program for local non-profits and charitable organizations to raise additional funds for the community.
