The Jaffe Center for Book Arts is hosting its 10th annual Letterpress Appreciation Day at Florida Atlantic University’s Wimberly Library on September 18, 2019 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Jaffe Center for Book Arts is hosting its 10th annual Letterpress Appreciation Day at Florida Atlantic University’s Wimberly Library on September 18, 2019 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
We'll be cranking out prints on JCBA's Vandercook 4 Proof Press (1940s), as well as Benjamin Franklin style on our 1890 Wesel Iron Handpress. On this special printers' holiday, YOU will become the printer.
There will also be two showings of the documentary Lost Ultimos: Endless Letterpress at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., as well as print shop marketplace.
This is a free event, but donations are always appreciated. More information and parking details can be found on the FAU Library's website.
