Cuban born vocalist, composer, recording artist, band leader, and flute virtuoso, Magela Herrera, has established herself as a solo artist with fresh, bold, and exciting new concepts to add to the jazz idiom. On her long-awaited 2019 debut album Explicaciones, by Brontosaurus records, Herrera not only makes it look effortless, but also creates loads of sensual, vibrant, rhythmically diverse fun, as she leads an ensemble of top Miami musicians through an eclectic mix of originals, jazz and Latin standards, and traditional favorites from her home country.
