presents a “Making Good Decisions During Stressful Times” Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday February 9 at the E. Pat Larkins Community Center in Pompano Beach
· This informative and interactive family event will feature a panel of specialists who will talk about the positive decisions our community is making during these stressful times.
· The panel will be led by moderator Joel Smith, Program Director, Florida Initiative for Suicide Prevention.
· Panelists will include Sobourney Barnes, Director-Youth Services, SunServe; Dr. Sandra Cumper Boynton, Executive Director, NAMI Broward County; Cynthia Moreno, CEO, Harmony Development Center; Rafis Nin, LCSW, Director-Clinical Coordination, United Way of Broward County; Susan Nyamora, CEO, South Florida Wellness Network; and Nora Rupert, Broward County School Board Member
· This FREE event is open to the public, and will offer resource vendors, refreshments, giveaways, community service hours and meaningful conversation! Child care will be available.
· Event sponsors include United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention, Broward Behavioral Health Coalition (BBHC), Florida Department of Children and Families, Deerfield Beach Community Cares and Broward County Public Schools.
