MISSION UNITED Thanksgiving Meal Distribution

United Way of Broward County’s MISSION UNITED, in partnership with 15th Street Fisheries, AT&T, JM Family Enterprises, Inc., the Miami Dolphins Foundation Food Relief Program and the Elks Club of Oakland Park, will distribute Thanksgiving Dinner meals to Broward County Military Veterans and Active Reserve Members and their families on Monday, November 22nd.
• Meals will be distributed to Military Veterans, Active Military, Active National Guard and Active Reserve Members who are Broward County residents and have valid identification.
• To receive the meals, all participants must register in advance and will need to present their online registration ticket and proof of Veteran or military status, during the drive-thru line.
• Due to limited supply, there is a 5-meal limit per Veteran or Military household.
• COVID-19 safety measures will be enforced. This will be a drive through event where meals will be placed in the trunk of each participant’s car. Applicable registrants must wear a mask, present their registration/ID, and arrive with an empty trunk to place meals in.
• MISSION UNITED is a critical program supporting U.S. military service members, Veterans, and their families in Broward County by helping them acclimate to civilian life. Key focus areas include employment services, education, health, legal assistance, financial stability, and housing support.
• Sponsors include the Miami Dolphins Foundation providing 600 meals from Veteran-owned business, S&J Catering, as well as Elks Lodge of Oakland Park, 15th Street Fisheries and JM Family Enterprises, Inc.
