Beat the Summer Heat at the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) during Subzero Summer Weekend taking place on July 17 and 18.
• Tis the season to be freezin’ so celebrate winter in July with science during MODS’ Subzero Summer Weekend!
• From a screening of Antarctica 3D documentary IMAX film on the GIANT screen, to a liquid nitrogen science show, to freeze out make-and-take activities, the forecast for fun is un-brrr-lieveable
• Plus, learn how cream, sugar, a baggie and salt, make ice cream during a fun hands-on “Ice Cream in a Bag” family activity. Families can eat the ice cream that they make right on the spot before it melts!
• Masks are mandatory for all guests over the age of 2, including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine, and everyone is required to follow MODS Healthy Scientists Make Healthy Choices protocols to ensure a safe experience.
Museum Hours: Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Nitrogen Show: 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Ice Cream in a Bag Activity: 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
REGISTER: This event is included with admission to the Museum.
Ice Cream in a Bag Activity is $3 for Museum members and $24 for non-member adults and $20 for non-member children. Price includes MODS Discovery Pass (Museum admission, program and IMAX documentary film.)
