Women's March Delray Beach
to
Old School Square 51 N. Swinton Ave., Delray Beach, Florida 33444
The Delray Beach Woman’s March, sponsored by Women’s March National, is part of 600+ events held across the country on October 2, 2021 protesting restrictive laws regulating a woman’s right to choose. The rally will begin at 2 PM at Old School Square in downtown Delray Beach, at corner of 51 N. Swinton Avenue and Atlantic, 33444, and then proceed in a walk down Atlantic Avenue to the South Palm Beach County Courthouse.
Men and all communities are welcome. Confirmed speakers include State Senator Lori Berman; Delray Beach Mayor Shelly Petrolia, and Commissioner Juli Casale; Alan Hendricks, Equality Florida, and Lauren Levy candidate for House District 89.
This free local event is in opposition to the national rash of anti-abortion laws, particularly to the Republican-sponsored copy-cat anti-abortion Bill recently introduced in the Florida legislature.
Attendees are encouraged to practice social distancing, must wear masks, and bring their own signs. There will be a safety team wearing yellow vests to provide any needed assistance. Parking is available at Old School Square Garage, 95 N.E. 1st Avenue, free before 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
