Funky Buddha Brewery began as a small lounge in Boca Raton in 2007. With a focus on craft beer and flavor experimentation, it quickly gained recognition for bold and unconventional brews like Maple Bacon Coffee Porter and No Crusts, a peanut butter and jelly brown ale.
By 2013, Funky Buddha had grown into a full-scale production brewery in Oakland Park, becoming one of Florida’s most prominent craft beer producers. Now, the company is expanding its offerings with Social Tonics — alcohol-free, hemp-derived beverages designed to offer a mood-enhancing experience.
These drinks combine THC and CBD, both derived from federally legal hemp. They are available in two varieties: Mellow Buddha (5 mg THC + 5 mg CBD) and Funky Buddha (10 mg THC + 10 mg CBD). The tonics come in three flavors: Blackberry Lemon, Blueberry Pomegranate and Passion Fruit Lime.
The company spent the past year developing its new Social Tonics and says that more hemp-infused products are on the way. Their release aligns with growing consumer interest in mindful, non-alcoholic beverages and marks Funky Buddha’s entry into the rapidly expanding THC drink category.
“People today are looking for drinks that are both fun and functional, and we’re thrilled to bring that experience to life with this launch. It’s just the beginning of a new chapter of flavor and innovation for Funky Buddha,” cofounder Ryan Sentz said in a press release.
