North Miami is in for a sweet treat. Voted “Best Ice Cream” by the Sun Sentinel, Lily’s Handmade Ice Cream has expanded to a second location at the Biscayne Commons shopping center. The Gilinsky family opened the first location in Delray Beach without even knowing how to make ice cream.
With a sweet tooth and a few YouTube tutorials, Ori Gilinsky transformed his love of ice cream into the start of a family business. Ronen, the Gilinsky patriarch, oversees the financial side of the business, while Ori’s brother, Tal, plays an active role in day-to-day operations. The shop is named after their sister, Lily.
“Lily’s was born out of a deep love for ice cream and a desire to create something truly original, fun and delicious. We’re not here to replicate what’s already out there; we want people to try something they’ve never had before,” says Ori Gilinsky.
The shop features 12 signature flavors and four seasonal options that change monthly. Signature scoops include Dusty Monkey (brown-sugar-infused banana ice cream studded with Biscoff cookies); Kinderella (Nutella ice cream with brownie pieces and chunks of Kinder Bueno); and Wolverine Delight (cake batter ice cream with pieces of fudge brownie, sprinkles and cookie dough).
Each batch is made with all-natural ingredients and contains no preservatives or artificial additives. The menu is fully kosher and includes a selection of dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan options.
The North Miami location of Lily’s Handmade Ice Cream is located at 14871 Biscayne Blvd. For more information, visit lilyshandmadeicecream.com.
